Dr Sam Bride

Samuel Bride, M.D. is an experienced US medical doctor in the urgent care practice, currently working at UMD Urgent Care in New York, NY. Dr. Samuel Bride earned his doctor of medicine from Boston University in 2006. Three years later, he completed the general surgery residency and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

The BUSM has a GHHS chapter founded in 2006 as a part of the larger, national Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s GGHS. This Society aims to recognize and encourage humanistic role models in medicine. The GHHS BUSM chapter has inducted over 400 faculty members, residents, and medical students by peer nomination.

Each year, the third-year BUSM students are asked to nominate a peer or resident to receive a GHHS membership. Students and residents who receive the top 20 percent of votes must then complete an essay, which committee members will evaluate to decide if the nominee will become a GHHS BUSM chapter member.

Those nominated will participate in a formal induction ceremony and become exemplars, leaders, and agents of change in their fields. Nominated students must also participate in BUSM chapter activities.
