Dr. Samuel Bride visits Africa and The Middle East
Samuel Bride M.D. recently visited countries in need to practice medicine for charity to those in need.
Dr. Bride provided service to those in need in The Gambia, a country in West Africa. Here he volunteered with Dr. Sallah for 2 months at a local medical clinic to share his knowledge and help those in need.
Here you see Dr. Bride with the children in a village of The Gambia. He was able to share his medical knowledge with the community and volunteer his time to help the underprivileged community with medicine and technology from the United States.
In The Gambia, Dr. Bride also was able to help out by performing some abdominal surgeries in the city of Banjul. When asked about his trip to Africa, Dr. Bride stated that he thought it was important to realize all of the conveniences that we have in The United States, felt it was important to give back a little to those less fortunate.
Besides The Gambia, Dr. Bride also traveled to the country of Jordan in the Middle East to volunteer at the Zaatari refugee camp where he helped Syrian refugees with basic medical needs.
In Jordan, Dr. Bride was able to work with the Jordan Health Department and the United Nations to help many refugees that are displaced from home and having a difficult time getting by and finding the medical care that they need.
Volunteering in these other countries and helping people in need were one of the reasons that Dr. Bride chose to be a physician. According to Dr. Bride, being able to see those less fortunate living through less than ideal situations and being able to use the knowledge you have achieved through your career is a blessing. He has made many long lasting friendships through his journey, and looks forward to the next opportunity to provide service to a community in need.
